Signs From the Illegals - 10 miles away....

This sign is 10 miles straight south from our home. We drove out yesterday after a friend of ours told us about it. This is where the sheriff's deputy was shot in a gun fight with illegal drug smugglers carrying AK-47s. We wanted to continue on out into the national monument but it isn't safe to go alone (or maybe go at all. Doors were locked (Mati was in the back seat) and Doug's gun was at the read. Ok -- My honey with his gun. Had to prove we were actually there.

This is the monument sign. What's wrong with our rights being taken away by a bunch of people too lazy to come to this country legally? I hate that this is happening!!! People feel sorry for the "poor illegals who are trying for a better life." Bullshit!!! Let them come here legally! Stop taking our tax dollars and our freedoms away!

The sign up close with me holding my husbands Kimber Pro-Carry II. I forgot my gun. It is a Breast Cancer Pink Walther P-22 that is small enough for my little hand.

The National monument sign is behind the Caution sign. Again I have to say Bullshit!

As the illegals enter our country they carry backpacks, water, change of clothes, deodorant, soap, toothpaste. They bring what they need to appear that they haven't just walked across the desert so people in civilization won't suspect they are illegal until they open their non-English speaking mouths. Anyway, they dump their backpacks, dirty clothes, garbage so the desert is littered with their garbage. It's really sad.

A marker to show where the trail goes.

The marker with the trail and garbage to the left.

Someones pants and water bottles. There is plastic out there that is mind boggling.

The garbage is everywhere, and now that we know more about what we are looking for and at, the danger from these creepy people is every where too. American needs to do something now. Just my thoughts.

CAT BITE

Last Sunday Doug got bit by a cat stray cat. Mathilda caught the cat by the tail. Doug was trying to save the cat from Mati and Mati from the cat's claws. Doug paid a big price. Cat's mouths are way full of bacteria and puncture bites are immediately infected. If you are bit on the hand you can lose your hand. Scary. Well, 2 days after the bite Doug went to the doc cuz his leg hurt so bad and the "red" was spreading. Now he's on heavy duty antibiotics. If they don't work then there will be IV antibiotics. Live and learn. Turns out the poor cat didn't even have claws. If we had let Mati go to the end of the leash, the cat would have gotten away and all would have been well. The cat would still have hair on its tail too.

My Days

Amazing how quickly time flies when you are having fun. The last month has consisted of a trip to Idaho to deal with my dad's ashes, which we did. This was very sad but am glad that one more step is complete. Doug and I put the ashes where we wanted and gave up disagreeing with people who have their heads up their butts. So we just went forward anyway. The trip there was horrible! We went through a huge sad storm, 3 blizzards, and rain storms that were so heavy, we couldn't see small cars on the freeway. Took dad's lift chair to Doug's mom so she has it when she needs it. visited with the 3 sisters and then made a quick trip east, dealt with the ashes, cried, and drove home in more sandstorms, snow, rain.....Froze the entire time we were gone. So grateful to get home again to our pool, my flowers, and the warm Arizona weather.

Before we left Doug and I went to the dermatologist for a spot on Doug's chest. Turned out to basal cell carcinoma, and I had one that was squamous cell carcinoma. Both are removed and we have scars to prove it. Good thing we discovered them. The doctor didn't even tell us to stay out of the sun. lol

The rest of our days are filled with drinking coffee in the morning by the pool while reading the paper. Going to the grocery store. Today we went to the exercise room at our clubhouse. Swimming is in there. Eating dinner on the patio. Walking. Watching a bit of TV. Repeat. I guess this is what retirement is about....maybe. I know we get lonely -- both of us. Have made friends with some neighbors. Last Saturday we went to a Greek Festival with Tom & Nancy. This Saturday Paul & Debbie are coming over for drinks & munchies. Just need to find someone who has a jeep so we can go playing some more. Oh well........will continue figuring out what retirement is about.
