Ms. Liz

Recently a teaching colleague from Century High School came to visit. She lives in South Dakota and needed to escape the overly long winter. Doug and I did our best to entertain her and show her Arizona. One of our journeys was to Montana Mountain. She only cried out in fear a couple of times but didn't seem to mind the dust. She did say that she had a nice time. Another trip was to the Phoenix Botanical Gardens. Unfortunately I forgot my camera but did have my phone so got a couple of pics. We had actually had headed to the Phoenix Zoo but when we couldn't find a parking place anywhere near the zoo or in the overflow parking we decided to go to see some plants. I'm glad we did. The butterfly exhibit was outstanding and I learned a bit more about the desert and it's plants that I love so much.

Then there was relaxing with a swim in the sun followed by a bit of sunbathing. Mathilda kept trying to nip Liz's toes after the silly dog figured out that she could swim. This was really quite hysterical.
